In an era when it seems every DJ shows up to gigs carrying something smaller than a kid’s lunchbox, Doorly is the exception to this rule. Using a set up that would make even Zabiela blush (3 CDJs, 2 1210s, EFX unit and Pioneer 800 to be precise), when he says he’s DJing live, he means it. Everything that you hear in is set his being created in the mix, there and then. Doorly’s movement behind the decks is relentless and he switches between musical genres with ease with a unfaltering energy he works together riffs, loops, beats and bass with seamless precision to create a musical mash up only attainable with true skill and passion Playing a mix of techno, electro, drum n Bass & dubstep mixed in with ample doses of indie and hip hop, expect the unexpected as it’s all about the party with Doorly.
He Spends his summer in Ibiza as resident for the hugely successful Ibiza Rocks / Manumission events. The Rest of the year to Doorly world tour continues stopping off along the way for his hallowed residencies for Techno Pioneers “Wax:on” and Drum & Bass world beaters “Metropolis” and pretty much the best clubs in every UK City
On the production front, Doorly is also a rising star. With a critically acclaimed EP due for release in July on Wax:On Music and a series of Official & major label remixes for artists including Dizzee Rascal (Dirty Stank), Basement Jaxx (XL), Frankmusic, Calvin Harris, Don diablo (Data), X-Press 2 (Skint), & Cagedbaby (Southern Fried). All crafted in Doorly’s inimitable & genre switching (pigeon-hole this!!!) style, from techno through electro to dubstep & back again!!! Prepare yourselves Rockers! This is PART 1.
